Capabilities

We engineer the parts, the machines and the process.

BluePrint is an OEM-level manufacturer. Roughly 1,500 components in our engines were engineered or re-engineered here rather than bought from a catalog — and where no production machine could hold what a tolerance demanded, we designed and patented our own.

How the work is controlled
01

We cast and machine our own hard parts

Blocks, cylinder heads, cranks, rods and oil pans are designed and built in-house — roughly 1,500 components engineered or re-engineered rather than bought off a shelf.

02

We build the machines that build the engines

Where no production machine did what a tolerance required, we designed and patented our own. Process control starts with the equipment, not the inspection at the end.

03

Every rotating assembly balanced within two grams

Balance, clearance and surface finish are held to a written spec on every unit, not sampled. That is what makes 400,000 engines behave like one engine.

04

Industrial-grade engineering, proven daily

Our Origin Engines division supplies powerplants for gensets, forklifts and wood chippers — duty cycles that punish anything built to a marketing number.

Disciplines under one roof

Casting & machining

Cylinder blocks and heads machined on dedicated lines with in-process gauging, not spot checks.

Rotating assembly

Cranks, rods and pistons balanced within two grams of spec, with bearing clearances written to file.

Calibration

Fuel-injected builds ship with a BluePrint-calibrated ECU and harness, mapped on our own dyno.

Marine & industrial

Continuous-duty engineering for marine load and for Origin gensets, forklifts and chippers.

Motorsports

Sealed-rules circle track and bracket packages, dry-sump ready and race prepped.

Builder Series

Short and long blocks engineered to be finished your way, with our tolerances underneath.

Row of assembled V8 engines on carts along a modern engine plant floor

Eighty engines a day, each one built to the same written spec.

Volume is not the enemy of precision — inconsistency is. Our 210,000 square foot plant in Kearney exists so that the four hundred thousandth engine leaves holding the same clearances as the first one did.
